This oil painting class focuses on capturing a soft, slightly impressionistic view of the beautiful countryside that surrounds us in Kent, The Garden of England. Designed with beginners in mind, you’ll be guided through creating a gentle, atmospheric landscape using looser brushstrokes and a simplified approach to detail. Rather than aiming for precision, we’ll focus on suggesting the scene; rolling fields, soft skies, and natural textures through expressive marks and subtle colour shifts. The aim is to create a painting that captures the essence of the countryside with a relaxed and painterly feel.

What to bring

All materials will be provided for you but please feel free to bring your own paints if you would like to (they should be student or professional grade).
