About Us
Bobbin & Brush Studio began one evening over a glass of gin and a painting session in Rhiannon’s kitchen. She and Natasha were chatting about how wonderful it would be to leave their day jobs behind and throw themselves into their creative passions full time. From that daydream, the idea for Bobbin & Brush was born—a space where they could share their love of art, sewing, and all things handmade with others. Just over a year later, their dream has become a thriving studio offering relaxed, small-group classes in a variety of creative skills. From embroidery to painting and beginner sewing projects, they’ve welcomed many adults (and a few children too!) into a friendly, inspiring environment where learning something new feels like catching up with old friends. Rhiannon and Natasha each bring their own experience and flair, and together they’re passionate about creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for everyone who walks through the studio doors.

Rhiannon – Artist, Illustrator & Co-Founder of Bobbin & Brush Studio
Rhiannon’s love for art started as soon as she could hold a pencil—often getting told off for doodling in the margins at school! After finishing school, she continued to explore painting and drawing for her own enjoyment, but everything changed after the birth of her first son. Prompted by requests for bespoke artwork, she began taking commissions for original nursery paintings and soon expanded into portraits, abstracts, and digital illustration—eventually illustrating children's books.
Her passion for creativity naturally led her into teaching, and she began sharing her skills with children in the local community and school. Inspired by the joy of teaching, Rhiannon suggested to Natasha that they join forces to co-found Bobbin & Brush Studio—a place where all abilities could come to learn art or sewing.
At her home studio in Halling, Rhiannon teaches a wide range of mediums, including watercolour, gouache, pencil, oil pastels, acrylic, and oils. Whether guiding adults through landscapes or still life subjects, or encouraging children to express themselves through art, she loves nurturing creativity and helping her students to grow in skill and confidence.
Natasha – Sewist & Co-Founder of Sew Heritage
Natasha has always had a creative spirit. After studying art through college and university, she discovered a new passion when she became a young mother and taught herself to sew. What began as a way to make beautiful, handmade items for her home and children soon grew into a love for textiles and garment-making.
As her skills developed, Natasha began specialising in children's clothing, with a particular focus on traditional hand smocking. Using Liberty fabrics and timeless techniques, she launched her own brand—Sew Heritage—creating high-end, heirloom-quality garments for children. Today, her designs are available online and in boutique children’s stores.
In 2024, Natasha partnered with fellow creative Rhiannon to open Bobbin & Brush Studio, where she now teaches sewing and embroidery to beginners. The studio also serves as her creative workspace, where she continues to design and sew for Sew Heritage—including a growing line of adult clothing.
