Botanical Watercolour Painting - Autumn Leaf

In this botanical painting class, we'll study the beautiful colours and delicate details of autumn, working from real leaves. I’ll guide you through the process of painting realistic leaves in watercolour, showing you how to observe shape, structure, colour and texture and translate them onto paper.

We’ll explore a variety of watercolour techniques, including layering, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, blending and fine detail, as well as colour mixing to capture the details in the leaf you have chosen.

The class is suitable for beginners and those with some previous watercolour experience. You’ll be guided step-by-step, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop your own painting.
